Hi Alex,
nice bike you have there , as Watto says a very genuine early Z1, consider carefully the level of resto necessary, originality only comes once ! if you need any advise happy to help ( japkaws@hotmail.com ) regards, Roger.
Alex,
Sounds like a Z900 '73, that's when they arrived here.
They did come with twin discs up front as an option, best option to be had for the bike- much more feel in the braking department.
I have one of these myself that I am going to restore, great bike and I have had it since 1975.
Good to here you are going to restore the old girl, not many genuine '73's left.
Good luck,
Watto

Just surfing the net and came accross your site.
I reside on the gold coast and currently ride a harley v rod muscle. I recently inherited my fathers z 900 and am wanting to start restoring it to its former glory. My father purchased the bike new, so only one owner. I beleive some changes were made as far as exaust, it has four into one pipe and twin discs on front. Engine is black, tank and covers are jaffa and orange.
Frame is numbered Z1f 11/72 Engine is numbered Z1e, Bike has aprox 20,000 on clock
Looking for some contacts on the coast
Hi Darryl... Unfortunately the MIDWAY Rally is no more. We tried it for 2 years and couldn't get the numbers to make it viable. It was a great rally and the bikers that showed up in 2008 & 2009 had a blast. We are putting all our efforts into Conondale 2011... 21st, 22nd, 23rd January 2011. There is a $1000 CASH gate prize on offer so get all your members there to have a chance. Check out the flyer on the home page. See you around the traps....Cheers Gaz

Connondale was great as always guys.. whats going on with the rally in the middle of the year at Haigslie, are you canning it or will we be lucky to have it on again, the leisure riders are keen to know.. cheers

Im looking for a Z900 A4 1976 frame i own a A4 900 but the frame is a Z1B .im currently in the process of a major rebuild so the bikes is fully striped at the moment.,so if any one has a frame im willing to pay cash or swap frames. Cheers Marty the lone Z rider of Alice Springs. 0417196751.

Kaz says...Hey Guys
Remember the two Gals you met in Murwillumbah on Sunday morning (18/10/09). I just wanted to say thanx for the support - I really am still on a Learners Permit and have only done about 15 - 18 hrs riding. Cheers for not all zooming up and passing me on Tomewin. I made it unscathed!!! Hope to catch you sometime, (those that could tell we were Gals and not Guys) when I get my full licence and bike. Who knows may even purchase a Z ???
Kaz
Hey kaz,
Good stuff, and by the way, that hug was just what was needed at the time,
see you for another hug soon. Keep getting those riding hours up, it only gets better from here.
